Amazon continues with their quest to take over the world. Their latest product is a camera named the Amazon Echo Look ($200). After watching the Echo Look informational video, I realize that I am clearly not the target market. This isn’t a security camera but more of a wardrobe helper. Ok?
Amazon Echo is still built-in so you can ask about the weather, traffic, etc… but I am not sure I would want a camera pointing at me while I get dressed every day. The idea with the Echo Look is that you can take full-length photos and videos of your outfits. You can even use these photos with the Style Check feature which uses AI and fashion specialists for a two wardrobe tiebreaker.
The camera has built-in LED lighting, is hands-free (controlled by your voice), is depth-sensing, and can blur backgrounds.
